My resolution this year is to be able to look back this time next year and be completely content and simply happy. And to do so, I came up with a little list:
- Read. At least one book a month. It’s been forever since I just read for my personal enjoyment. I have a shelf full of books just waiting to be opened.
- Stabilize my weight. I can proudly say that I have kept one of my resolutions from last year. I’ve lost weight, but it’s still jumping up and down. My goal is to no longer count calories, but to keep an eye on how I eat and try to be a little more physically active.
- Get going on my scrapbook again. I haven’t cut or pasted anything in it all year long. I’ve realized that I miss it quite a lot.
- Spend more one-on-one time with the people I care for. I feel as if there’s a bit of a distance between myself and the people I see and talk to everyday.
- Come to an understanding ground with my father. We never got along and I don’t see us ever agreeing on anything, but I love him. If I do leave for college next year, I want to leave on good terms.
- Be able to get past the heartbreaking memories of this past year. I know you can’t just erase memories, but whenever they do come to mind, I don’t want them to continuously break my heart over and over again.
- Think of the highlights of my day before I go to sleep every night. I’ve spent way too many nights crying myself to sleep. No more of that!
- Last, but not the least: Smile! Just smile for no reason at all.
I hope all of you had a good year and have a better one coming for you! :)
